Especially designed for sophisticated motion controlapplications the IS1222 module offers compactequipment and optimum precision. Equipped forthe total control of two motion axes, the modulefeatures a number of encoder interfaces for positionacquisition, analog outputs for the application ofmanipulated variables, as well as digital inputs for thenitiator or trigger. Furthermore, due to the centralcommunication concept, all I/Os of the remainingMi system can also be incorporated into the motioncontrol (limit switches, etc).Input frequencies up to 8 MHZ and the integratedsynchronization (o-bus-sync)with the total systemallow highly dynamic and precise movements.
Beside the full compatibility to the well provencontroller modules m-smc, m-cnc and m-shaft, alsothe user own programs and individually designedcontrol tasks can utilize the extensive integratedunctions of the module simply via the knownstandard interfaces (SVI, MIO). The extensiventegrated error monitoring with ongoing checking ofthe encoder resolution identifies hard-to-see wiringor ESD problems and allows the application especiallyunder diffcult environmental conditions
