The AB 1756-IV16 is a digital sourcing I/O module. This input module has 16 inputs available, with 8 points in a group. Compatible with the ControlLogix 1756 chassis, it requires a removable terminal block housing, or RTB, which can either be the 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH before it can be attached to the chassis. Using the RSLogix 5000, you can configure a change of state or input filter times for the 1756-IV16 module. Only an input data format is used by this module. The operating voltage range of the 1756-IV16 module is from 10 to 30 Volts DC and it has a 12/24 Volt DC source voltage category. It also has a nominal input voltage of 24 Volts DC. Its total backplane power is 0.61 Watts and maximum inrush current is 250 milliamps. The 1756-IV16 has a maximum input impedance of 3.2 kΩ at 30 Volts DC, a maximum power dissipation of 5.1 Watts at 60 Degrees Celsius, and a thermal dissipation of 18.47 BTU/hour. It also has a continuous isolation voltage of 250 Volts. During an off-state, this module has a maximum voltage of 5 Volts DC and a maximum current of 1.5 milliamps. When it is in an on-state, the 1756-IV16 has a current range of a minimum of 2 milliamps at 10 Volts DC and a maximum of 10 milliamps at 30 Volts DC. The 1756-IV16 module has a screw to backplane input delay time. This varies depending on if it going from an 'off' to 'on' state or vice versa. The input delay time when going from 'off' to 'on' is the hardware delay (with a nominal of 280 microseconds and a maximum of 1 milliseconds) plus the user-selectable filter time (either 0 milliseconds, 1 milliseconds, or 2 milliseconds). If going from 'on' to 'off, the input delay time is the hardware delay time (with a nominal of 540 microseconds and a maximum of 2 milliseconds) plus the user selectable filter time (either 1 milliseconds, 2 milliseconds, 9 milliseconds, or 18 milliseconds).
