Use of the digital output signal at the terminal 46
(A 62,00) for the high-speed counter The output A 62,00 can be assigned to the internal highspeed
counter by configuration. If the counter is used in the operating modes 1 or 2 (up-counter), the output A 62,00 is only available for the counter. If the output is to use as a normal digital output, it has to
be made sure, that the high-speed counter is not configured to the operating modes 1 or 2 (see also the chapter "High-speed counter").

Features of the digital outputs:The 16 digital outputs are arranged in two groups of 8 outputs each. The two groups are electrically isolated from each other.The outputs can be loaded with a rated current of
500 mA. Each group as a whole is electrically isolated from the rest of the device.The outputs employ semiconductors and are shortcircuit and overload-proof.The outputs are automatically switched off in case of overload or short-circuit.An overall error message indicates whether a shortcircuit or an overload has occurred on a output group.The overload is displayed by the red LED Ovl. and via error flags in the PLC.
