The piezomagnetic sensor works by the principle that the magnetic material changes

under the action of mechanical force. The sensor is made of a single piece of stainless

steel with four holes in the stainless steel body. Two sets of coils are wound through

the four holes, which are at an angle to each other. When an alternating current

is passed through the primary coil, a magnetic field is generated in the primary coil.

Because the primary and secondary sets of coils are at an angle to each other,

no magnetic field is generated in the secondary coil as long as there is no load on the sensor.
