The IS215UCVEM01A is a part of the Mark VI Speedtronic turbine series by General Electric. The IS215UCVEM01A uses a series of chips that contain all the information that tells the circuit board how to operate and when. These chips are multiple sizes. A chip may also be called a microchip, IC, or integrated circuits in your manuals. They all serve the same purpose. The IS215UCVEM01A has multiple jumper pins placed throughout the circuit board. An engineer can use a small cap to cover the jumper pins turning them into a switch. They can turn the jumper pins ON or OFF using the caps.
