Product Description
115M7750-01Bently Nevada  High Voltage DC Power Input Module

Description

The 115M7750-01 is a High Voltage DC Power Input Module (PIM) designed for use in the Bently Nevada 3500/15 power system. It is the DC

input interface that works with the 3500/15 DC power supply (e.g. 114M5329-01) to accept the high-voltage

DC input (88–140 Vdc) and protect the system via fuse / input protection.

FAQ

Q1: What is the purpose of a “Power Input Module (PIM)” in the 3500 system?
A: The PIM is basically the input interface / protection module for a power supply in the 3500/15 rack. It handles input

filtering, overvoltage protection (via fuse), safe connection, and ensures that the power supply sees

a stable, protected input. Without a valid PIM (or if the PIM fails), the supply may

lose power input protection or may not operate safely.

Q2: What input voltage range does 115M7750-01 accept?
A: The 115M7750-01 accepts High Voltage DC input in the range of 88 to 140 Vdc.

Q3: What happens if the input exceeds that voltage range?
A: If an overvoltage condition occurs, a fast-blow fuse in the PIM will open,

disconnecting the input and protecting both the PIM

and the downstream power supply.

Q4: Is the PIM damaged by under-voltage input?
A: No. Under-voltage (i.e. input lower than nominal) does not damage the PIM

or supply. The module is designed such that under-voltage is a safe

condition (though obviously operation

may not be sustained).
