The ABB GJR2374500R2111 88QT03C-E Coupling Moduleis a bus-coupling (or coupling) module used in ABB’s PROCONTROL / PROCONTROL P (and associated) control systems. It acts as an interface between
the station (or station bus) and the I/O station (input/output modules) in the control cabinet.It mediates between the station-bus shared memory and the I/O-station shared memory,
enabling telegram (data packet) exchange between station bus and I/O station.This module is used in industrial automation / Distributed Control Systems
(DCS) or Process Control Systems (PCS) where ABB’s PROCONTROL / PROCONTROL P systems are deployed. It facilitates
communication between a station bus (master control / station controller) and the I/O station modules
(the field I/O or local I/O modules) in a cabinet. For example, connecting the station
bus of PROCONTROL to the bus of PROCONTROL-PS
protection system.
