Description

The 330101-00-47-10-02-00 probe is part of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System.Non-contacting eddy-current proximity probe used to measure shaft position/displacement and vibration (via the larger 3300 XL system)

by monitoring the gap between the probe tip and a conductive target (typically a shaft) and producing a voltage proportional to that gap.“8 mm” in the system name refers to the probe tip diameter /

sensing housing size (8 mm probe body) in the XL series, which Bently recommends for robustness where space permits.The system is designed for both static (position) and dynamic

 (vibration) monitoring of rotating machinery (fluid-film bearings etc.).this is a high-quality, industrial-grade proximity probe intended for precision monitoring of rotating

machinery (shaft vibration, displacement) in demanding environments, part of a modular system (probe +

extension cable + sensor) by Bently Nevada.

Q1: What is the sensing principle?
A1: It is an eddy-current (non-contact) proximity transducer: the probe monitors the gap between its tip and a conductive surface (typically a rotating shaft). The system outputs a voltage proportional to the displacement (gap) and can monitor both static (position) and

dynamic (vibration) movements.


Q2:What are typical applications?
A2: Monitoring shaft vibration/displacement in turbomachinery (turbines, compressors, generators) especially with fluid-film

bearings. Also used as keyphasor reference or speed measurement.


Q3: What are the environment/temperature limits?
A3: For the 3300 XL 8 mm system: typical probe operating temperature from about -51 °C to +177 °C (-60 °F to +351 °F)

in one listing.  The overall system datasheet states probes can go from -35 °C to +200 °C operating

(short term up to +250 °C) for the 25 mm system—so the 8 mm variant will

have comparable or slightly more restricted spec.
