Description
The 330881-28-6-155-03-02 is a fully-integrated proximity transducer assembly from the PROXPAC XL family.It integrates a probe (usually the 3300 XL 8 mm probe series) and a Proximitor® sensor
in the same housing. This design eliminates the need for a separate extension cable between the probe and the Proximitor.This transducer assembly is ideal for monitoring radial shaft
position/displacement or vibration in rotating machinery (turbines, compressors, other critical machines), especially where integration and environmental ruggedness
are required. Because the probe + Proximitor are in one housing, installation is simplified
and signal integrity improved.

Q1: What is the typical measurement range of this transducer?
A: According to the datasheet, this assembly (with typical configuration) has a linear range of about 0.25 mm to 2.3 mm (10 mils to 90 mils)
when the probe is gapped at its midpoint. The Incremental Scale Factor (ISF) is about 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) ±5%.
Note: The actual linear range and output may vary slightly depending on exact variant,
wiring length, and installation conditions.

Q2: What are the environmental and mechanical ratings?
A: The PROXPAC XL housing is rated to IP66 / Type 4X, suitable for wet, dusty, industrial conditions.
The housing material is PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) reinforced for strength and ESD mitigation.
It’s not designed for significant internal or external pressure loads unless specified; for
high-pressure applications check with Bently Nevada.

Q3: Can I use standard extension cables with this assembly?
A:One of the key features of the PROXPAC XL is that it eliminates the need for a separate extension cable between
the probe and Proximitor sensor, because that is integrated in the housing. However, you will
still need field wiring from the transducer assembly to the monitoring system.
This wiring must respect the specification for maximum
length (~305 m) and proper shield/grounding.
