Description

The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System from Bently Nevada comprises a probe (such as this part), an extension cable (or integral cable) and a Proximitor® sensor. The system uses eddy‑current

technology to provide an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and a sensed conductive target (shaft or other surface). It is intended for static or

dynamic displacement measurements (position, axial displacement, radial vibration) in industrial rotating machinery.

Q1: What does “330104” represent in the part number?

Q2: Can I use this probe with an older non‑XL 3300 series or the 11 mm series?
A2: For full performance and interchangeability, you should use this probe with the matching 3300 XL 8 mm extension cable and

3300 XL Proximitor sensor (same series). Mixing with other series (e.g., non‑XL or 11 mm series) may degrade

 performance, reduce accuracy and void interchangeability.


Q3: What is the gap I should set between probe tip and target?
A3: The standard reference gap for the 3300 XL 8 mm system is ~1.27 mm (50 mils) for many radial vibration
