Description

The Bently Nevada 330104‑01‑09‑10‑12‑05 Proximity Transducer System from Bently Nevada comprises a probe (this part), an extension cable (or integral cable), and a Proximitor® sensor. 

The system uses eddy‐current technology to provide an output voltage proportional to the distance (gap) between the probe tip and a sensed conductive target

(shaft or other surface). It is suitable for both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) measurements.


FAQ


Q1: What does “330104” denote in the part number?
A1: It refers to the probe series: 3300 XL 8 mm probe with metric M10 × 1 thread and with armor. The datasheet lists “330104 = M10 x 1 thread, with armor”.


Q3: Can this probe be used with a Proximitor sensor from another series (e.g., 11 mm series)?
A3: Not ideally. For full accuracy, linear range and interchangeability, the probe, cable (or integral cable) and Proximitor sensor

 must all belong to the same series (here the 3300 XL 8 mm series). Using mismatched series

may reduce performance or void specs.



Q4: What gap (probe tip to target) should be used?
A4: The datasheet states a typical reference gap ~1.27 mm (50 mils) for radial vibration measurement in the 8 mm

series. But actual gap depends on your machine design and target material—check

machine OEM or application engineering.
