Q2: My machine shaft is very small (say < 2 in diameter); is there a limitation?
A: Yes — the datasheet states that when gapped at the center of the linear range, the cross‑talk between two separate transducers will be <50 mV on shaft diameters of at least 50.8 mm (2.0 in) or greater. For shaft diameters smaller than 76.2 mm (3.0 in), radial vibration or position measurements
may result in a change in scale factor.So if your shaft is smaller, you may need to evaluate performance
and scale factor or consider alternate sensing arrangement.

Q3: Can this assembly be used in a high temperature or steam environment?
A: The probe tip is rated up to +177 °C (351 °F) as per datasheet. The housing/sensor part is rated up to +100 °C (212 °F) typical.
However, the datasheet also cautions about prolonged exposure to hot water or steam: while brief contact (≤1 week)
at ~95 °C (203 °F) condensing steam should not significantly affect the plastic housing, longer exposure may
reduce housingstrength by approximately half. Therefore for high temperature/steam environments,
consider protective measures or alternate product.
