MLE‑TN08A is a digital output module (open‑collector transistor output) designed for the Honeywell MasterLogic-50 PLC System (ML50)
series.It provides 8 independent digital output channels (8‑point output), allowing the PLC to drive external loads (e.g. actuators,
relays, indicators, other DC devices) under transistor (open-collector) output mode.The module is intended for industrial
automation / control applications where digital outputs from the PLC are needed — e.g. controlling
motors, solenoids, signal lamps, relays, etc.

Q: What kind of output does MLE‑TN08A provide?
A: It provides digital transistor (open‑collector) outputs. That means each output acts like a transistor switch, pulling the output line to DC ground (or low) when ON. It's not a relay output, so it is suitable for DC loads (e.g. DC coils, DC lamps, logic-level loads), not for high-voltage AC loads.
Q: What voltage/current loads can it drive?
A: The module supports DC 12 V or 24 V loads (10.2 – 26.4 V). Each output can handle up to 0.5 A per point, and up to 2 A per COM (common). For resistive
loads under rated conditions, the ON‑state voltage drop is small (≤ 0.4 V), and OFF-state leakage current is minimal (≤ 0.1 mA).
Q: Is it fast enough for typical digital control?
A: Yes — response time (both OFF→ON and ON→OFF) is ≤ 1 ms (with rated load and resistive load), which is generally fast enough for
standard PLC-controlled digital outputs (e.g. driving actuators, indicators, relays, etc.).
