Description

The 330908-00-30-10-01-05 is part of the 3300 series “NSv / XL” proximity probes — electromagnetic (eddy-current) sensors for non-contact measurement of position, displacement, and vibration of conductive targets (e.g. rotating shafts).The probe converts changes

in distance (gap between probe tip and target) into a proportional electrical signal, which is used by associated monitoring equipment (e.g. Proximitor sensors + monitoring system) to monitor shaft radial position, vibration, speed, and

more.The probe body is machined stainless steel (typically AISI 304 SST) for durability and corrosion resistance.It is factory-calibrated (for a standard reference target, usually

 Bently-supplied AISI 4140 steel) and meant to be part of a full transducer system — probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor.


FAQ


What does this probe measure — what is its function?

Used to measure radial displacement, shaft vibration, shaft positional changes, and can also be used for speed/keyphasor sensing (when combined with appropriate target arrangement), in rotating machinery (turbines, compressors, pumps, etc.).



Is the probe alone sufficient — or do I need other components?

The probe must be used as part of a full transducer system: probe + extension cable + Proximitor® sensor (or other compatible signal conditioner)

+ monitor. The factory calibration, linearity, and accuracy specs apply only when the full system is assembled under

correct conditions (correct target material, gap, etc.).



What kind of targets does it work with?

By default, calibration assumes a reference target made of Bently-specified AISI 4140 steel (31 mm diameter or larger) and a

probe gap (e.g. 1.0 mm) for correct response and linearity. If you use a different target material or geometry,

results may deviate unless re-calibrated.
