A: It senses the distance (gap) between its tip and a conductive surface (e.g., a rotating shaft) without physical contact. When used with

compatible cable and Proximitor electronics, it outputs a voltage proportional to that gap — allowing monitoring of shaft position,

radial vibration, clearance, or bearing clearance.

A: The probe tip is made of PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide), and the body/case uses stainless steel (AISI 303 or 304),
