The PXIe‑8360 is a “Remote Control Module” for PXI / PXI‑Express systems (from National Instruments (NI)).It provides a transparent “MXI‑Express” link that lets a standard PC
(desktop, laptop, or rackmount) control a PXI or CompactPCI / CompactPCI‑Express chassis as if the PXI modules were PCI/PCIe cards inside
the PC.Practically, the module is installed in the PXI chassis (system slot), and connects
to the host computer via a compatible MXI‑Express cable over PCIe.
