Description
The PCIe‑8361 is a “remote controller” / “host interface” device produced by National Instruments (NI).Its purpose is to allow a standard PC (with a PCI Express slot) to control a remote PXI or
PXI‑Express chassis as if the PXI modules in that chassis were installed locally in the PC. In other words — it lets you extend the PCI/PXI bus over a cable.When used with
the matching remote control module (e.g. PXIe-8360), PCIe‑8361 provides a transparent PCIe‑to‑PCI bridge over a copper cable.
