Description

The Bently Nevada 330101‑00‑61‑15‑02‑CN is a precision eddy‑current, non‑contact proximity probe in the 3300 XL 8 mm series — a standard industrial sensor for monitoring rotating equipment such

as turbines, compressors, generators, pumps, and motors. These probes detect very small changes in distance (the “gap”) between the probe tip and a conductive

surface (usually a shaft), and output a signal proportional to that distance for vibration and shaft position monitoring.

FAQ

Q1. What does “3300 XL 8 mm” mean?
A: It refers to Bently Nevada’s 3300 XL eddy‑current proximity transducer family with an 8 mm diameter probe tip. This series provides

high‑precision, non‑contact measurement suited to industrial condition monitoring systems.

Q2. What is this probe used for?

A: It non‑contactly measures the gap between the probe tip and a conductive target (often a rotating shaft). The output is

used by condition monitoring and protection systems to evaluate vibration, shaft position,

and dynamic movement.

Q3. How does the eddy‑current sensing work?
A: The probe tip creates an alternating magnetic field. As a conductive surface moves relative to the tip,

eddy currents change in strength. These changes are converted to a voltage proportional

to distance, then conditioned by a Proximitor sensor for

monitoring systems.
