Use of analog inputs as digital inputs Several (or all) analog inputs can be configured as digital inputs. When doing so, they evaluate input voltages higher than ca. +7 V as signal 1. The input impedance in this
operating mode is about 4 kW. Terminal M is the reference potential. The input signal delay is 7 ms. It cannot be configured. The inputs are not electrically isolated. they may be shorted to AGND. Unused inputs must be configured with "unused". The relationship between the analog input signals and the converted numbers is illustrated in the following figures. be made sure, that the high-speed counter is not configured to the operating modes 1 or 2 (see also the chapter "High-speed counter").Features of the analog inputs:The 8 analog inputs are not electrically isolated.The resolution of the A/D converter is 12 bits.
