The AB 1794-IE12 is a FLEX selectable analog input module. It comes with 12 single-ended, non-isolated inputs and has a 16-bit resolution. The 1794-IE12 module has an 8 milliseconds input conversion rate for all channels and an input resolution of 320 µV/cnt and 0.641 µA/cnt. It also has a green and red status indicator. It uses an open-type enclosure and installing it in a 1794-TB3GS or 1794-TB3G terminal base unit is recommended. This module's channels can only be configured in pairs. The voltage rating of the 1794-IE12 module is 24 Volts DC and its range is 10.5 to 31.2 Volts DC. It has a signal range of 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 20 mA. Both ranges are user-configurable. The module has a nominal external DC supply current of 30 mA at 24 Volts DC, one of 45 mA at 10 Volts DC, and a 60 mA certification. It also has a current rating of 0.641 µA/cnt and an input current terminal rating of 4 to 20 mA and 0 to 20 mA. Its input voltage is 320 µV/cnt and the input terminal's voltage is +/- 10 Volts. It also has a maximum input overload of 30 Volts or 32 mA, both continuous and for one channel at a time.

This module has an absolute accuracy of 0.1% full scale at 25 degrees Celsius for both the current and voltage input. Its accuracy drift with temperature is 0.004% full-scale per degree Celsius for both the voltage and current. It also has an input step response of 1.3 seconds for both current and voltage input in general and of 0.09 seconds for both the current and voltage input with Quick Step. The 1794-IE12’s power dissipation is 1.2 W at 31.2 Volts DC and its thermal dissipation is 4.1 BTU/hour at 31.2 Volts DC as well. Note that there is no isolation between individual channels. The module has an operating vibration of 5 g at 10 to 500 Hertz, an operating shock of 30 g, and a non-operating shock of 50 g. The operating temperature of the 1794-IE12 module is between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius and its storage temperature is between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius.
